Assad dismisses reports of prison executions as 'fake news' – Daily Mail

Bashar al-Assad has reacted to the reports of mass executions inside Syrian prisons by suggesting Amnesty International bribed officials in order to compile evidence. A spokesman for the charity told MailOnline the charity ‘robustly rejected’ the claims. The shocking report published this week stated victims were given death sentences after sham trials lasting less than three minutes, often on the basis of confessions extracted through torture all commissioned by top officials.
