Since the Spring, European Union nations have implemented individual rules on who can enter each country without facing quarantine.

But as several countries in Europe battle rising COVID-19 infection rates, the EU has now agreed on a set of common rules around restricting movement during the pandemic.

They’re implementing a “traffic light” system that will allow travelers from low-infection areas to travel without restriction, with people from red regions required to self-isolate or provide a negative test.

Redmond Shannon reports on the new rules.
