Does Pence have pink eye? VP appears to have bloodshoot eye and fly on head at debate

Vice President Mike Pence went head to head with Democratic rival Kamala Harris in the first vice presidential debate Wednesday night but Pence’s left eye was one of the biggest focuses of discussion among viewers on social media. His eye appeared red leading people to believe he has pink eye. Pink eye, or conjunctivitis, is a symptom of coronavirus and the nation’s leading immunologist Dr Fauci has warned the virus can be contracted through the eyes. It is not clear what caused the redness in Pence’s eyes. His team said he tested negative for the virus Tuesday and Wednesday however a negative test is not an all-clear for not having the virus. Pink eye is also a sign of many other conditions including common cold and herpes. However with COVID-19 sweeping through the top ranks of the White House social media users questioned if he is the latest to be struck down with the virus.
