Rehearsals appeared to be going  well as new Dancing On Ice contestant Maura Higgins was put through her paces on Saturday afternoon. The former Love Island star was joined by a professional skater as she took to the ice at a London rink, two months before the show returns to ITV. Sporting a black hooded top and matching Adidas jogging bottoms, Maura, 28, worked on her posture while holding her partner’s hand.    Her place on the Dancing On Ice was confirmed on This Morning in October, when she emerged from an oversized white coat in a snow globe. Share this article Share Maura said on the show: ‘I’ve skated once in my life for fun, so I’ve no experience at all. I’m up for the challenge.’The star admitted she is nervous about performing the headbanger move on the ice, which involves a skater being picked up by the ankle and spun around by their partner. ‘[The headbanger] is what frightens me. I’m more excited than scared. I’m competitive so I think that will drive me.’Meanwhile, the reality star’s romance with Curtis Pritchard, 23, is going from strength-to-strength.  Speaking on a recent edition of Lorraine, Curtis revealed the couple are stronger together because they allow each other space. He explained: ‘We wanted it to become a real relationship, because obviously in the villa… I don’t wanna say it’s not real, but it’s a different world. It’s a bubble.’Things are going very good, I think the key is we give each other space. I allow her to do all the work she wants to do and she lets me do what I want to do.  ‘We are supporting each other 100 percent.’
