Commuters and holidaymakers are facing chaos during the Christmas getaway after heavy rain and flood waters led to major travel disruption across the south .

National Rail is urging people not to travel from Brighton to London due to water on the tracks, while the M23 is also shut in both directions due to the inclement weather.

Severe Met Office weather warnings for heavy rain indicate that water on roads will cause delays in some areas on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

It comes as millions prepare to travel for the Christmas break. Last year, there was major chaos at Gatwick when drones sightings led to flights being cancelled.

  1. Hi! we just stumbled over your amazing channel and really enjoy your video clips. 👍 We are adventuring very much, maybe you'd also want to explore our Cinematic Travel Musicvideo as well 🌴 So lets motivate one another. Enjoy your day, and also keep up the great work! 😊

  2. DONT MOAN NOW ITS NOTHING
I SPEND LOTS OF TIME DOWN THERE ITS BEAUTIFUL
WHILE THE NORTH IS LEFT TO ROT
SO DONT COMPLAIN NOW SEEN AS ALL THE WEALTH OF THIS COUNTRY IS CONSUMED BY THE SOUTH
    FACT!!!!!
    THE DISPARITY IS DISGUSTING

  3. The Lynmouth Flood occurred in August 1952 it caused the loss of of 34 lives. The M23 gets a foot of water and all the nutters are out claiming the worlds gonna end. hahahaha

  4. Seams wierd and slightly coincidental all these delays, roadworks, floods and cancellations to public transport on the lead up to christmas..call it punishment for brexit
    David icke was right !!

  5. Everyone chill about global warming. I get that it's a thing but this isn't necessarily an example. Britain only get weather like this once a year so it's very rare to invest in good drainage systems. I get for the last few years we haven't had bad flooding but before that I remember whole villages being flooded. Hell even my garden is on a flood plane. You guys need to calm down.

  6. To all the people moaning about climate change, if your so serious about changing the world then why don't you go to China or India and preach your climate agenda there where they pollute more than us.

  7. The constituencies of Derbyshire Dales, High Peak, Doncaster North were flooded this year. The houses haven't even dried off yet. Combined total votes for the Green Party in all 3 areas: 3000 votes. 3 measly per cent. Go figure.

  8. No surprise there really, its been raining hard for days in a country with notoriously bad drainage so of course some of the canals and rivers will start to overflow.

  9. Must be climate change,,LOL if they were using the weather as a weapon in the 50s and 60s what you think they can do these days with your weather,, since the turn of this century all they have done is climate engineer the sky with artificial contrails full of toxic metals and told the slaves they where seeing condensation and they actually fell for it,,,lol my goodness you people are in a total coma under serous mind control where you dont even believe your own eyes anymore,, glazed over eyes like zombies under hypnosis ,,
