A whistleblower has claimed the White House tried to cover up details of a damning telephone conversation, between Donald Trump and the President of Ukraine. It’s alleged that during the call, Mr Trump pushed Volodymyr Zelensky, to investigate Joe Biden, one of the frontrunners hoping to challenge him for the White House, in next year’s Presidential election. Democrats in the House of Representatives, have now begun an impeachment inquiry, the process by which an American President, can be removed from office. The BBC’s North America editor Jon Sopel gives his analysis to the BBC News at Ten, presented by Clive Myrie.

  1. it was not a whistle blower. it sounds like a spy, part of the leftist swamp. what is ignored in this is whether or not there is merit in the corruption allegations against Biden. why aren't the biased news organizations like the BBC looking into that?

  2. Lying Bias Broadcasting Corporation, lying Pelosi, lying Schiff, lying democrats, PM Boris good, President Trump good, leaving corrupt eu best thing for the UK. whistleblower letter written by Democrats lawyers and is second/third hand, there is no quid pro quo in Presidents Trumps transcript. Watch and read the correct events on the web and not fake news MSM and google.

  3. TRUMP SAYS, "WHAT THE DEMOCRATS ARE DOING TO THIS COUNTRY(AMERICA)IS A DISGRACE." THE FACT IS TRUMP HAS AND CONTINUES TO DISGRACE AMERICA(my home) FAR MORE THAN ALL OF THE DEMOCRATS PUT TOGETHER!

  4. this will go no where like the last several tries they did this, it seems of a desperate Democrat party to be honest at this point, every month there is a new crisis or "evidence" of Trump doing bad, but then they never can reveal it.

  5. What a lot of c**p, trying to explain to the people what impeachment means when the democrats have been desperately trying it from the moment he got in, yet no mention how pathetic and desperate the democrats are, biased BBC ?

  6. Why don't you mention that the WH gave the transcript over within a day? Why didn't you mention why other calls are locked down like the one in question? You leave out all the facts to craft a one sided story. I thought more of BBC and I'm not a fan of Trump, but come on-

  7. To qualify as a whistle blower, one must have first hand knowledge of the story.
This person did not. they didn't even know the details of the telephone conversation between Trump and Zelensky.
This story is nothing but second hand rumour and can only be described as heresay.
    Not worth taking seriously.
The BBC were falling all over themselves to report this instead of doing some proper investigative journalism.
    Typical BBC fake news!
