The #ShenYun Performing Arts Global Company arrived in San Jose, #California, for five performances at the Center for the Performing Arts.
“The precision of the dancers, and the accuracy, how everybody works together, their bodies are in exactly the same formation,” said Samantha McInnes, interior designer at Casey Howard Designs.
Shen Yun dancers spend about half the year touring worldwide, and the other half training for the upcoming year’s program.
“I’m sitting there watching it thinking it would be so hard not to drop something or trip or do something and everyone is moving perfectly in sync the whole time. It’s very inspiring,” said Tony Foti, a freelance illustrator.
“The production quality was fantastic,” said Sarah Wittry, an actress. “I really enjoyed seeing the sets, the way the actors dip down and then flew away on the screen was so fun to see.”
Shen Yun dancers interact with the animated backdrop to help complete the story telling.
“Shen Yun is special and different because it shows all of the stories that are related to the Chinese culture,” said Wittry.
